Pizzerias in Genova, Roma, Napoli, Palermo
I am an American pizza maker who will be visiting Italy in October with a major objective to visit the very best pizzerias in the above cities. I would be most grateful for any recommendations. I try to make my pizzas to the DOC standard, but am interested in exploring any and all styles that will give me ideas for making better pizzas. Many thanks in advance.

Roma: "Pizzarium" - via della Meloria.
Napoli - Da Michele - Via Cesare Sersale
Thank you for the recommendations. Is there a "specialty of the house" you recommend? I would hate to go the best place and order the wrong thing. Again, I am grateful for the help.
Do you come to the northern part of Italy (Verona, Trento, Bolzano) too?

I won't be in Northern Italy this year, just time for the cities listed above. Next year I plan to start in Venice and work my way south down the Adriatic coast until I can eat no more! Maybe I should start further north? Do you live in Verona? What kind of pizza is most popular there?
